We’re very pleased to announce that we’ll be providing a mobile carrier billing solution for the Cowes Floating Bridge. This is really one to get excited about, as it is the UK’s first direct carrier billing deal within the ticketing sector.
The ferry service carries vehicles, bikes and foot passengers between Cowes and East Cowes. It’s open for business 7 days a week, all year round and takes just a few minutes.
Thanks to the introduction of a new app, developed by TransIQ, customers will no longer have to faff with cash, waste time entering their credit card details or face monstrous queues at the quayside. Instead, they’ll be able to pay for their tickets with just a couple of taps on their mobile devices.
The app will give them the choice to pay either by PayPal, or via Fonix’s carrier billing platform which will charge the cost of their journey to their mobile phone bill. This will mean customers can pay in the way that is easiest and most convenient for them, which is so important to us at Team Fonix.
This is such an exciting partnership for us — we consistently see the positive effect that carrier billing has on conversion rates across every sector we work in and now that we’re entering the ticketing sector, we can’t wait to see equally impressive results for the Cowes Floating Bridge.
