We’ve collaborated with Sport Relief yet again this year — for the fourth year in a row! The Sport Relief campaign hosts multiple sporting and entertainment events (many featuring celebrities), raising money to help people in the UK and across the world to live happier, healthier, safer lives.
Once again for the 2018 campaign, we’ve processed all of the charity’s mobile donations. The Fonix platform allowed consumers to donate by text during the challenges in the build up to the live night campaign, as well as on live night itself. The public were able to donate either £5, £10 or £20 amounts in seconds from their devices.
Our vision has always been to give mobile users a frictionless payment experience regardless of mechanic of entry; Fonix’s technology platform is central in enabling the public to donate via mobile and we were absolutely delighted to, yet again, work with Sport Relief on the 2018 campaign.
In total, the Sport Relief event raised £38,195,278 for charitable causes, and we’re so proud to have played such an important role in achieving this.
