We’re proud to share that Fonix and 5 have won Best Payment Solution of the Year at the UK Business Tech Awards 2026 for our work together on CompsPortal. The award was presented at last week’s ceremony at Hilton London Bankside.
CompsPortal is the competition platform we developed in partnership with 5, live at winon5.com. It brings 5’s competition activity into a single, secure hub, letting audiences enter competitions across the broadcaster’s programming quickly and easily, whether online, by SMS or by post.
At its heart is a unified payment experience that brings together Apple Pay, Google Pay, carrier billing and card within one seamless checkout, so viewers can enter instantly using whichever payment method suits them. Delivering that in a heavily regulated broadcast environment, where compliance, fairness and reliability are non-negotiable, is what made this such a rewarding solution to build.
